I know you can rip me for eating Starbucks and godiva chocolate for being gourmet. But what really is Gourmet? If by means your talking a thousand dollar truffle, not the chocolate but the white fungus they use pigs to find, Saffron for how expensive it is and such. I mean what really constitutes something being called gourmet. People make cakes by hand and scratch ALL the fucking time. Why should a person be paid $70+ for a fuckin made by hand cake that the icing and such is just mixed ingredients of a standard variety, I'm not paying $50 for a bag of flour made with the most wordly common crap in it , shadowed bya "brand name"  Fuck the "sun flower seed oil" that costs $30+ when I can buy a nice bottle of EVOO damn it!. Sugar? Do you really need Cane juice solidified from a raw piece when you can go to the store buy a real piece of sugar cane for like 1/100th the price and use it? Do you really need to pay $100 for a fucking chocolate bar? Or $10 for a coffee that you can easily just make yourself? FUCK!


So I ask do you really find buying things slapped with the gourmet logo appealing?

Ace of cakes calls themselves gourmet, but they accept a MINIMUM down payment of $1,000 per cake? Worth it? FUCK YOU!.
