So I decided to be lazy today and take the day off work so I can recover from my lovely summer cold and I'm watching tv and keep seeing those send us your unwanted gold jewelry and we will send you a check.  COME ON!!!!  This is an invitation for these broke ass people that live around me to have a reason to break into people homes and steal the gold to get cash!  I'm just lucky I don't have expensive jewely. 

The commercial that I saw says you contact the company and they send you an envelope and you put in your jewerly and send it back them.  Once they have your stuff, who says they are going to pay you in the first place.  all they have to do is melt it down and claim they never received the package. 

These companies are just asking for trouble on sooooooooo many levels!  Take your fucking unwanted jewerly to a pawn shop and at least get money or just give it to the lowlife standing on the corner so you don't have to file an insurance claim!
