I work with a guy that is an almost impossibly perfect fit for the stereotype of Bible Thumper.  He has very strong opinions on everything, and really wants to share them with everyone, but doesn’t want to hear anyone else’s thoughts.  He also has an uncanny ability to turn any topic into a discussion on religion.  On top of all this, he’s our local conspiracy theorist.  He very much thinks the government is out to get us.

So, I’m in the breakroom at work today, and Bible Guy mentions Ron Paul.  His normal modus operandi for conversing in the break room is to make a statement to the room in general, and look around to see who’ll take the bait.  All he says this time is that he’s been watching Ron Paul videos on youtube, and he’s very consistent.  Being familiar with Bible Guy’s methods, most people pay no attention, a few look up from their magazines or snacks, and a couple people laugh.  One of the laughers says, “he’s consistently paranoid.  The sky is falling!  The sky is falling!”  Bible guy looks him dead in the eye, and very seriously says, “Uh, the sky is falling!”

This guy has been saying ridiculous things like this for the past decade that I’ve worked with him.  I have many more stories of Bible Guy’s unbelievable antics, and I’m sure there will be many more to come.  I’ll share them here when I have time.
