Seriously, Madonna needs to retire already.  All of the shenanigans she allegedly participated in with A-Rod is just about the last straw.

There was a time when Madonna actually contributed something of value to the world of pop culture.  That time was around 1983, when her first album was released.  I'll admit, it's full of upbeat and catchy songs.  I can see why people bought her records back then.

But since 1990, the quality of her music has been sinking and sinking.  She only manages to stay relevant through pathetic publicity stunts, like giving birth to Lourdes, converting to Kaballah, making out with Britney Spears at the VMAs, adopting that boy from Malawi, and now this hanky-panky with the Yankee.

Why doesn't Madonna just call it quits?  She's left her mark on the world of music.  And it's not like she needs to work any more.
