Evidence of why corporations are evil

So I was reading another blog about this topic and the guy was using a pizza example and I commented on his blog but my comment ended up being pretty long so i decided to start this thread.

An investigative journalist was exposing sweat shops in 3rd world countries and one of them he visited was an Adidas shop that made football (soccer) cleats. One of the jobs on the site was a "stitcher," who was basically a kid that had to stitch something onto the shoe using the old needle and thread. Well the kids have to do it fast and they usually end up poking themselves and bleeding onto the merchandise. The reporter asked the manager of the plant why he wouldn't provide these poor workers with gloves to protect them. The response? It's cheaper to wash the blood out of the merchandise than to provide gloves.... Moral of the story? Corporations are evil. That's not a liberal, hippie statement and is no exaggeration. Corporations only know one thing, and that's to make money at ANY expense, be it environmental, human, etc. The only hope we have is regulation or some kind of control because it's starting to get out of hand, as I'm sure we all have realized with the BP incident.
