Any musician will tell you that rock band and guitar hero are thre thorn in the sides of our most utopian society. Since guitar hero came out every ya-hoo with a hundred bucks goes out, buys a squier strat and then realizes "WAIT! There's more than five ridiculously colored buttons on this thing! FUCK!" He subesequently puts it down and cries in shame.

Eric Clapton has said (and I'm paraphrasing) that Guitar Hero makes more kids start guitar, but less kids continue guitar. I've been playing for seven years, long before these games were out so I am one of the lucky few who have a good god damn of what they are doing. Sadly I actually enjoy these games though. They're fun but do not represent guitar in any real way whatsoever. So I implore anyone interested in guitar DO NOT THINK YOU ARE GOOD AT GUITAR BECAUSE YOU CAN PLAY EXPERT ON GUITAR HERO.
