The home alone star older sister Dakota Culkin (age 29) dies after bieng struck by a car when she stepped off the curb and in front of a moving vehicle Tuesday evening in LA. She was taken to UCLA Medical Center with massive head trauma and died from her injuries yesterday afternoon.

The elder Culkin worked in production design, most recently on the film Lost Soul. According to the LAPD, the driver of the car stopped, tried to help Culkin and identified himself to law enforcement. Detectives determined the motorist was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and  that no crime was committed.
