In my first blog about it, I didn't say the unpleasant aspects of my marital gear shifting were all my wife's fault, but I DID suggest that the catalyst was the hormonal changes that women her age experience.  I still think that has a lot to do with it, but it's come to my attention that I had a larger part in the way she was feeling than I thought I did.

Since we've "woken up" to some aspects of our relationship, I've started noticing my wife more.

"No, I've had this for years."

"Oh..."  (durrrrrrrr!)

"No, I got this last summer.  I wore it on your birthday."

"Oh, yeah."  (derp!)

I guess I haven't been noticing her as much as I should have been.  Right now, I'm totally preoccupied with her and she's got my total attention when she walks in a room.  Right now, even after we've already had sex a couple hours earlier, a hug and a kiss before bed can turn into a rabid weasel style exchange of bodily fluids and rug burns on somebody's back.  I'm not sure at what point I lost this, but I'm glad it's back.
