Public Speaking
There are those of us out there who can get up onto a stage and play in front of hundreds of strangers without a care. I am one of those people. It doesn't matter to me if there are five people or five thousand in an audience, I am still completely comfortable playing and singing on stage.
With that said, you would think that I must also be able to speak well in public too. Well, I would have agreed with you until about a week ago.
Seeing as how I am applying to colleges, I need some extra-curriculars for my transcript. So, seeing as how I love to debate on ebaums and argue with friends over frivilous things, I figured I'd join debate. Who better right?
WRONG! Forever wrong, a thousand times wrong! My topic was off-shore oil drilling. I was the negative rebuttalist. For some ungodly(yes that was intentional) reason, I could barely choke out my argument. My hands were shaking, I was sweating, I could barely move. My speech was supposed to be five minutes and I could only barely squeeze out two minutes (which is awful).
Does anyone else have this problem?
