Ok here we go again. The other night I posted a very long blog about the Church, I thought I did well so you may too. Go read it. Or don't, do what you will. But today in my discussion class I asked the priest who came in to talk to us a what if question. I said " If a woman were in a life-threatening situation whereas she will die if she gives birth, is abortion still wrong" and he replied with, much to my surprise "yes, it is an intrinsic evil and is always wrong." Ok what the fuck...what the fuck what the fuck WHAT THE FUCK! so if you let yourself die it's ok then. Somebody needs to explain this bullshit.

I, along with the rest of my class was thoroughly perplexed. Essentially that's suicide. Hence, the woman goes to hell for not trying to save herself. So literally, damned if you do, damned if you don't. So we pose that to him to which he points at the cross hanging from the front of the classroom(i go to a catholic school remember) and he says was that suicide? Jesus knew he would be crucified, was he committing suicide? And everyone shut up. Would anyone like to guess as to whether or not I backed down? you guessed it. I did not good sir. In it's most basic form, if Christ did exist, yes, he committed suicide. Suicide is the intentional ending of ones life. He intentionally did what he did, knowing the end result. And here comes some more hypocrisies from the bible! goody! That means jesus went to hell. Which, as the story goes, he did. For three days before being taken up. If anythign that PROVES my theory. Why would he go to hell otherwise? He had no sin. Yet we are to live as Christ lived. So does that mean that suicide is a damnedable offence or no?

So fellow ebaums users. Please explain to me what the hell is going on here and whether you agree with me or not.
