Lab Rats were fed fast food/junk food for nine months and started developing symptoms of alzheimers. The high intake of fat in the rats diet led it on.
Alzheimers is incurrable, it makes it to where you forget people places and things that you would normaly remember.
Chemical changes in the lab rat's brains indicated an abnormal build up of the protein tau.
The high levels of cholestrol also reduced the levels of arc in the brains, which are what are used for memory storage.
