Review Of Feeding Ground Issue 6 Archaia

Archaia Feeding Ground Issue 6$3.95 Writer- Swifty LangArtist- Michael LapinskiLettering & Design- Chris Mangun Story By- Lang, Lapinski, & Mangun
This new series is ripped right out of the real-life drama unfolding on the Mexico-Arizona border! FEEDING GROUND reaches a large and diverse audience no matter your personal point of view on the issue. In this factious story, a famine caused by Blackwell Industries drives Diego Busqueda, a noble coyote, to lead a band of Mexican border crossers across the unforgiving Devils Highway, a desert cursed with blistering days and deadly nights. Back home, Diegos daughter Flaca discovers that something hungrier prowls the factory fields. Stalked and persecuted, can the Busqueda family maintain their dreams of immigration or will the horrors of the desert tear them apart?
Feeding Ground issue 6 of 6 is a Hispanic werewolf horror drama that delivers. Flaca is forced to choose between her father and Alejandro Blackwell the head of Blackwell Industries. Her mother and brother have struggles of their own as they try to find a place in the United States. Young Flaca finds herself over taken by her hunger and it leads to some very intense violence and action. The illustrations and coloring are both beautiful and terrifying. Simultaneously the border patrol invades the Blackwell Industries compound, followed by more action blood and gore. There is no shortage of twists, turns, action, and horror in this final issue. Its a well thought out storyline combined with beautiful art.
Archaia does a great job bringing this book together. The issue can also be flipped and on the other side is a full length very of the issue in Spanish. This is genius on their part. I cant say enough about what Archaia does for the comic book industry as a whole and this is just another example of their innovation.

7/10 Buy, Read, Bag, Board.
