We all know of shows that we loved that were on TV, but canceled soon after.  Many of us have been unhappy about it.  Some of us have been downright pissed.  Some of use mourned the loss of great shows that just weren't out at the right time.

There are a couple that I like that should've never been canceled.  The first is "Firefly".  Joss Whedon is a genius, no doubt about it.  But this show was his best (save for Dr. Horrible's Sing-along-Blog- but that's a whole different story).  It was like a western and sci-fi got together in a one night stand and had a bastard baby they named Firefly.  Seriously.  It was fantastic.  There were great characters that all had their part on the ship, and the relationships between them all always made for an interesting plot.  I hear that Sci-Fi wants to pick it up and make new episodes, but I'm not for sure on it.  If they don't, I'll just continue to watch the DVDs over and over again.

The next that I can think of is Carnivale.  I'm not sure if it was canceled or was only supposed to run for two seasons, but you wanna talk about a bizarre, but amazing world that was created...  Damn.  It follows a traveling carnival, the people in it, and also a preacher with some special abilities.  It all takes place in the 1930's or 40's (can't remember off the top of my head).  Just the opening titles are spectacular to watch.  It has a ton of film clips from that era that make you glad to live in this day and age.  I was definitely disturbed by the clip of the KKK with the Grand Dragon/Imperial Wizard (or whatever else they wanted to call him) holding what was probably his son - a child of no more than 5 - in a child sized KKK outfit.  Crazy...  That and I like the way they merge the tarot cards into it all.

The last that I have on my mind is Greg the Bunny.  If you've never seen it, I highly recommend it.  It's hilarious.  It's less politically correct that Family Guy.  And it makes fun of Sesame Street all the time.  They had some great cameos in it too (David Spade, Corey Feldman, Gary Oldman).  Yeah...  It sounds retarded when described as there are puppets living among humans, and mostly takes place on the set of a kiddie show, but it was awesomely spectacular if you're looking for a good laugh.  It only ran for 11 episodes, but there were also two that never aired that are on the DVDs.
