So... I did kind of rescue my wife after her night out.
One of her beefs about inequity in marriage is I drove the 2007 Accord pretty much all the time. She drove the 2003 Corrolla. She even drove the Corrolla when both cars were home. Apparently this has been bugging her for years. I just don't get that shit.
"Okay, raise your hand if you drive at least 100 miles every day. What, just me? Raise your hand if you're over 6' tall. What, just me?"
Seriously. Fuck it. I don't even care. She's been driving the Honda for three months now. I didn't even say anything, I just started driving the Toyota. Better gas milage for my longer driving anyway, right?
I hadn't checked the battery water in the Honda since the last oil change. She's way over due for an oil change (just found out, tread is separating on the tires too). We're in the fucking Mojave here. Water doesn't stick around long. Check your fucking battery. Last time I checked it, there was water in it, but I didn't have a bottle of water in my car to top it off, so I knew I'd have to do it the next time I changed the oil.
Well, the battery was bone dry, the car wouldn't start.
"Should I call roadside assistance?"
"No, it'll take them over an hour to get there, I'm on my way."
Mild ass pain. She was civil. I was civil. Apparently, she didn't fuck around on me. I didn't bother asking why she didn't reply to my text when she said she wasn't coming home or why she didn't call home until I texted her after noon. I'll bring it up at the counsellor meeting. The fucking thing is only an hour. I've got so much shit to say. I'm hoping shit will at least get moved one way or the other. At this point, I'd take some progression in either direction. Let's start the divorce or do something to repair the marriage. I'd flip a fucking coin at this point. Let's just do SOMETHING.
Still just treading water until the counsellor meeting. Hope mixed with anxiety about that.
I swear... she's getting more slowly... If I get divorced, at least I'll be able to get places on time.
I was trying to see what time we'd be able to see Limitless tonight. We'd planned on going before my surgery. She told me it would take another 30 minutes to get ready.
"You don't have to impress me. You could put your hair up in a baseball cap."
"I want to do my hair. I Want to do my hair!"
((Fine, fuck you, I don't even want to go now)) "Sure, whatever. I wasn't trying to pressure you, or anything."
Been somewhat longer than 30 minutes now. Still hear blow dryer going.
I'm logging off. Going to put my son to bed. Daughter is babysitting him.
I'm I'll give 2:1 that I don't lose my cool tonight. I like them odds.
