This afternoon, I got to play a relatively large gig with my band. It was a short set, and it went well. As usual, I was happy to be gigging, and I really love what I do.
   However, you probably noticed I wrote "This afternoon". Did I mention it was an outdoor gig? In New Orleans?
   Fuck, five minutes into it, I was sweating like a whore in church.
   By the end (It was only a forty-five minute set, thank FSM) we were all drenched in sweat and seriously dehydrated. I never did catch what the temp was today, but it had to be around 100...
   I love playing music, live. But it seems like there aren't any fucking venues in this entire town that believe in AC.
   And now it's becoming busy season for musicians. Thankfully it'll cool down soon.
   In other news, I just picked up a great book on Tom Waits. It's called "Tom Waits on Tom Waits". If you're a fan at all, you should read it. It's a collection of interviews and press releases that span his whole career.
   Well, fuck, I'm tired as hell, so I'm gonna go chill.
