I was asked this question a bit ago, but didn't really give it much thought until this afternoon. (Quantium Leap marathon...nice!!) So the question being, if you could live in any time in any place in the history of the world, when would it be and where?

Now, that being said, I'm asking "...in the history of", not in the future of. I don't wanna hear about rocket boots, robo-fucking or food cubes. Besides, everyone knows that a superior race of woodchuck-like beings are going to enslave the human race in 2012 anyway, so don't bother with all that future stuff. (Mark my words people...)

Personally, I would love to be alive in the early 1950s in America. Business was doing well, my haircut was probably still in style then, and the cars were kick-ass awesome. Lets not forget Chuck Berry, either. I would give bluenote's left testicle to see him play. (Sorry blue, I need my testicles right where they are for uh...research. Yes, 'research'.) My other choice would be the late 1800s London, England. The arcitecture was really amazing, the industrial revolution made life a little easier and new inventions were always coming out, plus Gilbert and Sullivan wrote the HMS Pinafore around that time.

That's right: the HMS Pinafore. An opera. I like opera music. Got a problem with it? If I told you I picked the late 1800s so I could plough a chick in a petticoat, would your respect for me return??? Opera or petticoat: you decide.

Back to my point: where would you live, when, and why?
