In a blog I wrote that the  librarian at my wife's school earns $90K a year. Some people found that laughable and I can only assume they think I am full of shit.  This librarian that I personally know will earn that and receive a pension that will reflect  her highest paid five years at the School Board. She is a member of the Separate Catholic School Union and as such is entitled to all pensions and benefits.

I could only find one posting from OCSB for a library tecnician, but generally they earn half of what a Librarian earns. Keep in mind this job is a half time position and look at that salary. It is pro rated but if you double it and add full time, you exceed 80K at a starting position as a full fledged librarian.
