Garth gets off the boat after a long three days out crabbing. Feeling bagged and hungry, he stops at a dockside diner and flops in a booth.
The waitress tells him the kitchen is closed but he can have a coffee.
A guy in a suit reading a paper is ignoring his bowl of clam chowder in the next booth as the fisherman sips his coffee.
"you going to eat that"? asks the fisherman. "Help yourself" say's the man lowering his paper.
Starved, the fisherman takes it back to his booth and hunkers into the chowder and sips his coffee. As he gets to the bottom of the bowl he see's a rat's tail at the bottom.
Seeing this, he throws it all back up into the bowl. The man reading the paper asks "what's wrong"?
He mentions the rats tail at the bottom of the bowl, and the man with the paper said, "Oh yeah, that's as far as I got too"!!
