A young intelligent businessman was sitting on the plane, trying to pass the time. He turns to the woman sitting next to him with her eyes closed, trying to sleep.
"Would you like to play a game, miss?"
She turns to look at him, shakes her head, and tries to go back to sleep.
"It's really fun. I ask you a question, and if you can't answer, you give me five dollars, and vice versa."
The woman made no response.
"Okay, we'll make it interesting. If I can't answer a question, I'll give you five hundred dollars. If you can't answer a question, you only have to give me five."
Suddenly interested, she opens her eyes, turns to him, and agrees to play.
"Okay," the man said, "I'll go first. What is the distance between the earth and the sun?"
Without hesitation, the woman reaches into her purse and hands him five dollars.
"You're turn," he said.
"Hmm..." said the woman. "What goes up a hill on three legs, and walks down on two?"
The man pondered the question for a while. He looked it up on his laptop; he even sent emails asking his friends if they knew the answer. With no luck, he takes five hundred dollars out of his wallet and hands it to the woman. She takes the money, and lays her head back to go to sleep.
"Wait," said the man, "what was the answer?"
Without opening her eyes, the woman takes five dollars out of her purse and hands it to the man.
