You may have heard of Ötzi the Iceman found frozen in ice in the Alps. Recent forensics have revealed the circumstances surrounding his death almost 5300 years ago. It appears that Ötzi was a skilled mountaineer and guide in his primitive Germanic tribe. However he fell out of favor with the tribe’s chieftain Ingvar when he messed around with his wife. Ötzi fled the camp and headed into the mountains where he was certain he could evade Ingvar’s wrath. Ingvar went to the tribe’s most skilled hunter/tracker named Rudolf. Rudolf hunted with special lightweight arrows that enabled him to strike targets at considerable distance. Ingvar summoned the archer and asked him, “Rudolf with arrows so light, won’t you slay my guide tonight?”
