Danny Bonaduce. The adorable red-headed Danny in The Partridge Family, Bonaduce has had several run-ins with the law, the most high-profile of which involved him attempting to buy cocaine. Bonaduce has cleaned up his act and works steadily on talk radio. -

Jake Lloyd. Jake is best-known for starring in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The negative reception and subsequent fallout saw Lloyd retire from acting in 2001, aged 22. In July of this year, he was arrested for reckless driving, driving without a license and resisting arrest. His mother stated that he suffers from schizophrenia, and that the incident was a result of him having failed to take his medication. -

Lindsay Lohan. The Mean Girls star has had a troubled and well-documented few years which have seen her arrested on multiple occasions. In May of 2015, a judge ended Lohan’s probation after she completed the community service that resulted from her 2012 reckless driving, making it the first time in nearly eight years that she was probation free. -

Taran Noah Smith. The youngest of the Taylor family in the 90s hit Home Improvement, Smith has had a quiet career since the show went off the air. He married a woman 17 years his senior in 2001, divorcing her in 2007. He gave up acting in the early 2000s and stayed very much off the radar until a 2012 arrest for possession of cannabis. -

Justin Bieber. What list about child stars would be complete without Biebs? The much loved/despised singer was arrested in 2014 for a DUI and drag racing. -

Shia LaBeouf. Shia, let’s face it, you are still famous. The much-troubled actor has had, shall we say, an interesting few years. From outlandish public art projects, freestyle rapping at festivals to appearing in some great films (Fury being one), LaBeouf has reached a level of bizarre behavior rarely seen before. His most recent incident came in October when he was arrested for public intoxication in Austin, Texas. -

Amanda Bynes. Bynes struggled to make the leap from children’s TV star to movie star. In 2012, she was involved in a number of car crashes, got a DUI, went on a now infamous Twitter tirade and was arrested for marijuana possession. The retired actress was recently spotted in West Hollywood looking healthy and more together. -

Drew Barrymore. The actress, who got her start in E.T., has been very vocal about her struggles with growing up in Hollywood. She said that she was experimenting with drugs at the age of nine and even went to rehab when she was 14. She came out of this spell OK thankfully and has had a good career in Hollywood, although she hasn’t appeared in as many movies the last few years as she had previously. -

Edward Furlong. Seen as one of the most promising young actors in Hollywood, the star of Terminator 2 and American History X has had a troubled life as an adult. He was hit with a restraining order from his ex-wife in 2009 and was arrested for violating it, going to jail for six months. He was again arrested for domestic violence in 2012 and 2013. -

Macaulay Culkin. The Home Alone star is one person who’s struggles have seemingly been overly hyped. While he has had some troubles, he hasn’t gone completely off the rails as some people seem to think. On September 17, 2004, Culkin was arrested in Oklahoma City for the possession of marijuana and two controlled substances, Alprazolam and Clonazepam. He was briefly jailed, then released on a $4,000 bail for this possession. After an arraignment in court for misdemeanor drug offenses, he pleaded not guilty at the trial, then later reversed the plea to guilty. He received three one-year suspended prison terms and was ordered to pay $540 in fees. In positive news, he was recently spotted with Bob Saget and Seth Green #SquadGoals. -

Corey Haim. The 80s heartthrob who was part of “The Two Coreys” double act battled with drugs which lead him down a troubled road. On March 10, 2010, Haim was found dead in his rental home, aged 38. Los Angeles police stated that his death appeared to be an accidental overdose although no less than four different bottles containing Valium, Vicodin, Soma and Haloperidol were found. Later all substances were confirmed as needing to be prescribed by a specialist to acquire. It emerged that Haim had used aliases to obtain over 553 prescription pills in the 32 days prior to his death. -

Jodie Sweetin. Who didn’t love Full House? Specifically, who didn’t love Stephanie Tanner? Well Jodie Sweetin, who played the role, has had her struggles since the show. Sweetin is a recovering drug addict. She started drinking alcohol when she was 14, shortly after the show wrapped. amphetamine, crack, and other drugs. In 2009, she wrote a memoir called unSweetined, which chronicles her downward spiral of alcohol and drug abuse that began with the ending of Full House. She spoke about growing Over parts of the next 15 years, she used ecstasy, methup on television and about how much her life had improved since getting sober. -

Christian Slater. Another star from the 80s that struggled with the dizzying heights of fame, Christian Slater has had troubles with drug and alcohol abuse. Since 1989, he has been arrested on a number of occasions. In 1994, he was arrested when he tried to board a commercial plane with a gun in his luggage. In 1997, Slater was convicted of assaulting his then-girlfriend, Michelle Jonas, and a police officer while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. On May 24, 2005, Slater was arrested in Manhattan, New York, after he allegedly sexually harassed a woman on the street. Slater was charged with third degree sexual abuse and was held at the 19th precinct in Manhattan. The charges were later dropped on the condition that Slater keep out of trouble for six months. -

Jamie Waylett. Crabbe from the Harry Potter film series is a more recent addition to the seemingly never-ending list of child stars getting into trouble with the law. He was replaced in the series in 2009 after Waylett was brought up on a drug possession charge. He was then sentenced to two years in prison in 2012 after participating in riots in England in 2011, specifically for being in possession of a Molotov cocktail. -

Dustin Diamond. Screech from Saved By The Bell has consistently hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent years. In December, 2014, he was arrested in Wisconsin for possession of a switchblade knife, which he was alleged to have pulled during an argument in which a man was stabbed. On May 29 2015, Diamond was convicted of two misdemeanours, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. He was cleared of the most serious charge, recklessly endangering public safety. On June 25, 2015, Diamond was sentenced to four months in prison. -
