Our troubled nation isn't exactly devoid of monumental mess-ups and embarrassing blunders. It feels like every time you turn on the news you're being force-fed the latest in a never ending series of unfortunate events. While this collection of facepalms and fails doesn't do anything to stop that trend, it does gather them all together in one place to flush all the failure from your system. 

Perhaps the biggest f-up from the past few days comes from Kristi Noem, who is in contention to be Trump's running mate for the upcoming election. A story from her autobiography has come to light where she describes shooting her own dog because of its disobedience and difficulty to train. Now we can never know what the circumstances around the dog's death were for sure, but maybe it's not the best story to tell out loud when you want to run for vice president. People tend to side with animals.
