We are all guilty of lazily shuffling out some cookie-cutter stock advice in a last-second bid to hide our crippling levels of apathy. It's the polite thing to do, thinly pretending to care about the misfortunes of others.

But you also don't want to tire yourself out searching for something truly helpful, either. You need to strike a balance. A happy medium. Here's to the majority of us and the terrible advice we can't stop giving each other.
