cringe. A sickening, gut-twisting feeling that tends to sneak up on you in the places you least expect. Similar to Larry, our old HR guy, that used to hold himself suspended between the walls of the alleyway, ambushing us from above on our way into work. "You can't learn to swim in a dry pool" He'd say. "Imagine if I was really trying to get you." He'd say.

I kind of miss Larry, sometimes. He was gone by the time I got out of the hospital and back into the office. An odd guy, sure. But he taught me an important lesson; always, always look up on your way into the eBaums World office.

And I do look up, Larry. And I look for you, in the sky -- wondering if you're up there, in heaven or wherever HR guys go. There's no way you could've known just how ready that intern was for you. Too ready.
