After one woman noticed her cat Phantom had barely eaten in over three days, she knew it was time to take him to the vet. Without an appointment, the vet told her they could only squeeze the cat in at 7:30 in the morning. The problem? The woman's Credit Union job, and her overly demanding boss's conflicting mandatory pajama party. 

In a shared text exchange with her boss, she pleaded to get just a little time to make the trip. She wouldn't even miss the whole thing. Her boss's response? "This is a mandatory meeting." Doesn't sound like much of a party to me. 

Published on the r/MildlyInfuriating subreddit by her boyfriend u/Hobo_Taeng, he revealed that her job is work from home except for one day a week during the lead-up to Christmas, but that "My partner does not even take sick days unless she's absolutely unwell."

"That woman is very cold and judgemental," he said of the boss. "This job has literally drained all of my girlfriend's happiness." 

Fortunately, it sounds like his girlfriend did the right thing and took care of Phantom, missing the "mandatory" pre-workday party meeting. And most importantly, "I can happily say that [Phantom] started eating again as of yesterday."
