Jaysh-Al-Islam, which translates to “Army of Islam” – (not to be confused with the terrorist organisation located in Gaza Strip) – are a militant group opposing ISIS and the Syrian regime and this graduation video of over 1,700 troops and a fleet of armoured tanks is a strikingly impressive military parade. There are said to be as many as 25,000 loyal fighters for this cause after 60 rebel factions in Syria merged, knowing the strength was in numbers. This has been deemed the “largest military parade” since the dawn of the Syrian revolution in 2011.

The group operates in Damascus, the embattled Syrian city and it’s an uphill struggle against president Al-Assad but they have reportedly been supported and funded by wealthy Saudi Arabia.

Millions of pounds have been sent from the Arab Kingdom to arm and train fighters as the world’s fears continue to be increased by the growing power of Jihadi organisations.

The militant organisation embraces rebel forces and ‘non-Jihadi’ units.

The troops marched in perfect unison as they were watched by the militants’ proud leadership.

Leader, Sheikh Zahran Aloush said, “Know paradise is waiting for us since we either achieve victory or die in honour… So take your strength from Allah and wage Jihad in the cause of your Lord.”

He refers to their enemies, which include ISIS and the Syrian President as “the dirtiest and most despicable enemies of Allah.”
