      • I think that instead of telling her what you're going to do, just do it. Tell her you want to go for a drive, then drop off your daughter at your babysitters and take her to the maternity clothes store then to Babies R Us. She will be surprised and might end up enjoying it. If youre spontaneous and hang out with her without planning it, she may appreciate it more. You could also make supper or get up in the morning with your daughter before she does. Draw her a bath, light some candles, put a plate of peanutbutter and pickle sandwiches on the side of the tub and then tell her to go clean the bathtub, or kill the spider in the bathroom, whatever, you get the idea. Hopefully she will be pleasantly surprised. It's not really what you say, it's what you do. I've been pregnant twice so, hopefully my two cents helps you in some way. Good luck!

      • The animal shelters here sicken me. They do evaluations on the animals and if they don't pass, they're put down. I remember going there once and there was a little dog who didn't like having it's paws touched, the caretaker told me that he wasn't up for adoption and was being put down because of this! On Another occation, a litter of kittens was dropped off on their doorstep, three of the kittens were very timid and hid when you tried to pick them up. These three kittens were all also being euthanized! I would be timid and scared too if I was in a cage in a building full of barking and snarling dogs. They also keep the animals for a certain period of time, two weeks I think, then if they aren't adopted, they're put down. I hate the way these places operate.
