- Imagine what they could have done without the shackles of a religious society. P.S. Einstein was not religious...many of his quotes are taken out of context. Whether a religion is real or not can be debated. The likelihood of your religion being correct is not up for debate (there are far too many religions with different beliefs for the odds to be on your side). Statistically, all religious individuals are only slightly more likely to make it into paradise.

- So, now your argument is that because there is an abundance of overqualified individuals working menial labor jobs we should continue to starve lower income Americans of healthcare? Wealth redistribution (a dirty but somewhat fair grouping of words) is a necessity for a country who vows to provide it's citizens with life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I have committed no crime worthy of taking away my inalienable rights...I have liberty, i am pursuing happiness and I am owed the right to live a healthy life. As is everyone, that is why I pay taxes.

- Are you stating that there should be no reward for those that are attempting to repent for their past errors through hard work and dedication that may be a bit delayed. I think taxing the upper 1% just a bit more in order to improve the lives of millions is a small sacrifice. The example of supply and demand was used in reference to my job, and it's true. However the same idea can be applied to the cost of goods if the average spendable income is reduced. The cost of goods typically adjust to the average spendable income. Most companies would rather have less profit than no profit. It's amazing to me that the people who pride themselves as patriots aren't concerned with the country as a whole.

- "long strings of excellent decisions" might be a bit of an overstatement don't you think? based on the current state of the economy. I do work hard, and I absolutely did blow my opportunity. That being said, my attempt to change my current situation is made more difficult by the philosophy that "The value of the individual is directly represented by their paycheck." I take nothing from this country, I only contribute. I am not asking that I be the only recipient of these benefits, I am asking for a way that someone like myself can stay healthy and become a more productive member of American society. If you think that this should not be afforded to those who want it, then you are for the abolishing of the middle class and the continued decline of the American dream. You lack the ability to fully grasp the idea of what American culture was intended to be. I'd be more than happy to grab your ranch sir...now please stop making out with your cousin in the dining room.

- I'm poor, no ifs, ands or buts about it. My parents are upper middle class and well educated. I dicked around in college and dropped out. 10 years later I am currently working full time within the service industry while taking 18 hours of classes and just barely scraping by. I guarantee that I work just as hard as any executive in America for a tiny fraction of the pay. Don't sit there and tell me I don't deserve healthcare and other benefits simply because I don't make enough money. Anyone who says that liberals are nothing but a bunch of whiners obviously hasn't waited on some asshole right wing redneck who wants more ranch for his salad.
