      • I agree with basically all of this. These would be the "other pressing issues" I said would wait until we become independent on foreign oil, which is another of the issues you covered (offshore drilling and nuclear power are too excellent methods to achieve that goal). Given that our ideas are basically the same, I daresay we'd be competing for candidacy on the same ticket. On that note, I suggest that whichever of us becomes the candidate for election, the other should be his vice president.

      • I'm no entirely certain this counts as a valid question, since even the most liberal hippy out there is forced to admit that there are times when violence is the only solution. Even Ghandi knew this, though of course the issue he aimed to resolve was not one that demanded violence, and he proved it. Bottom line is, the idea that absolutely all men can be peacefully negotiated and comromised with demontrates a level of naievete bordering on the imbecilic.
