  - You should do a little research on this subject, look up the statistics and crime reports. You will see that what is shown or said on the news is BS. School shootings for example doesn't necessarily mean "school shooting spree". Those numbers they give you are of any firearm discharge related incidents in or by school zones. Notice how I said "incidents". That's because even having a negligent discharge of a firearm while transporting it to your car while in a school zone will be considered a "school shooting". What they also don't mention is that 99.9% of these school shootings happen after hours, off campus, aimed at a single target and at colleges with adults. Not elementary schools with children like the news tries to make you think after Sandy Hook, when they say "School shootings on the rise". Same goes with the whole "gun crime" statistics as well.
