      • Ha ha I used to be a Jehovah's witness and I could not say the pledge of allegiance because praising (honoring) a flag was considered a sin... so as i grew up and parted from the religion but I continued not pledging my allegiance to any flag because deep inside i know that i would do what i have to do for my country and my beliefs... which is all that matters... whether you believe in God or not you are a part of this great Country were freedom is what makes it great and unique from many other countries... don't spend to much time looking for flaws with religion cause it will always be for some strange reason or another. Just know what you know and live life learning and never closing yourself to new possibilities because there are some things that cannot be explained so easily... Remember If something is not real it usually dissipates with time... if something persists through the ages it might mean that there really is something there...hey you never know! maybe they are wrong...
