      • i could agree more. i don't understand how people look at paintings like these and see so much beauty in them that they would spend such ridiculous amounts of money on them and i agree that it is ruining the way we as visual animals view the art world. i don't understand it, but then i never went to art school, nor have i ever studied art. i know what i like to look at and i know what i don't like to look at and a blank canvas with little to no detail on it is something i do not enjoy looking at. cheers!

      • i agree that most 'modern art' seems simple and meaningless, and i do not understand why people pay such huge amounts for these types of paintings. i like the detailed work and i know you need to have mad skills to produce such beauty, but i must say, throwing paint is fucking fun. however, there should be more put into it than a few splatters of paint. i personally love throwing paint at a canvas, but it is to accentuate the image underneath. fine post.
