- Why do people always over emphasize suited cards? Regardless of the amount of chips it's a bad call to make. Everything in your head should be telling you that one of those other guys has either AK, KK, or AA. Playing KJ in that situation is forfeiting your chips. And it was the first day of play so we all had about the same amount in chips, all around 20,000. I play poker for a living right now, trust me, you throw that hand away everytime regardless of suit and how many chips you have. Once you play that hand like that, you stopped playing poker and started gambling, and I don't gamble.

- Dude...even if it was suited, it's a donkey call. KJ suited or not is a rookie hand...looks good but isn't. You get dealt suited cards 25% of the time...so really, suited cards only increase your chances of winning by about 3%. It was a donkey call regardless of suit. Are you sure you know anything beyond the basics about hold 'em?
