The White House Correspondents Dinner is a fun night for America's political elites to laugh about the current state of the world, their work as press, and whatever ever topical debate that has gripped the nation. If you're old enough you'll remember Bush joking about the lack of WMDs found in Iraq. Or Obama threatening to drone bomb the Jonas brothers. As we said, it's a fun night for Washington's elite to let their hair down and come together under one roof to collectively kiss their own asses. What's not to love?

The headlining comedian of the night was Trevor Noah, who did some butt-kissing but also got off some good jokes. Although the best joke of the night came fairly early on and was delivered by Joe Brandon, we mean Biden himself.

Biden while joking about the "new Republican party", joked, "There is one guy the Republicans support, some guy named Brandon. He seems to be having a pretty good year. I'm happy for him." Say what you will about him, but he can take a joke.
