Video of an NYPD patrol car attempting to run a biker off the road has gone viral on social media as many people have called for the firing of the officer behind the wheel. "

Umm, yeah, that's attempted murder." 

The incident took place on the Van Wyck Expressway which leads south from Queens into Brooklyn. The video was originally posted on Reddit but was reshared onto Twitter, where numerous commenters called for the officer to be fired and charged with attempted murder. 

As the video begins in what is clearly the middle of an incident, it is unclear exactly how the confrontation began, though you don't need to know the whole story to see these patrol car's actions for what they are, reckless driving and the endangerment of a vulnerable motorist. 

While the NYPD did not release any details on the incident, it is aware of the video and is conducting an internal investigation.
