Welcome to the aptly named 'Battle of Alberta.'

We are now in round 2 of the NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs. And what a matchup we have. In a rivalry that has been reignited in the past few seasons, the Edmonton Oilers face off against the Calgary Flames. Let's be clear, there are no polite Canadians in this series.

Edmonton ended up winning game 3 in the best of 7 series, but not before the Flames' Milan Lucic trucked their goaltender, Mike Smith.

For those who don't watch hockey, this doesn't happen. If you run a goalie, you're going to pay the piper. And that's exactly what happens. Is there intent to injure? I can't say that just based off this video, but Lucic also doesn't try very hard to stop himself. Madness then ensues.

After the dust settled, Lucic was given a 5 minute major penalty and ejected from the game.
