Artificial Intelligence has promised us the world, but so far, it’s pretty much only given us idiocy.

From Google trying to get you to put glue on pizza, to the rainforests that have been burned so you can instantly generate pictures of Gandalf smoking weed, much of the allure of A.I. has been its ability to waste our time more so than its real-world application.

However, there’s a lot of money behind it, and whenever people start throwing dollar bills at something, it’s a countdown until they try to put it everywhere.

Case in point: Recently, there’s been a push to make TV shows entirely using artificial intelligence. This is stupid for a million reasons, but to start, it’s just not very good at it yet.
