      • Do you think a basketball filled with air and the earth have the same mass? The mass of the earth is 5.972 10^24 kg, a basketball is about 500 grams. In order for water to stick to the basketball like earth, the basketball would need to have the same mass as earth. Your analogy is idiotic. It's like saying, this lit match is the sun, how come I'm not getting burned alive?

      • In order for water to stick to the basketball it would need the same gravitational pull as the earth, which would require the same mass as the earth. In order for it to be a proper analogy, you would have to take the entire earth and squash it until it is the size of the basketball, then water would stick to it, but so would you. The basketball would have stronger gravity than the earth because you would be closer to it's center of gravity whereas you are thousands of miles from earths center. The closer you are to a mass's center of gravity the stronger it's gravitational force.

      • FlatEarth - Your comment makes it clear that you don't understand the meaning of mass. You are not allowed to talk about gravity, atmostphere, or geography if you don't know what mass is. You need to go back to school and this time take physics, chemistry, calculus and pay attention this time.       • why would you compare a basketball to earth? gravity is a function of mass. in order to make your point, you have to compare earth to an object with similar mass that has no gravitational pull. good luck with that.

      • Almost every other country has declining daily death rates. The US, specifically, Red States have increasing death rates. TX & FL have over 100 deaths per day and will probably top out at 3 to 4 hundred.
