      • At what point does building an online persona turn into a career? I think I saw something similar on South Park. Phase One: Steal Underpants. Phase Two: Unknown. Phase Three: Profit!!!

      • so, because someone comes here, plays a game, and comments on it, they have no life and don't know what a pussy looks like? You do realize that you came here, played a game, and commented on it.

      • I agree with your conclusion, but the way you got there makes my head spin. Your reasons as to why the games don't cause violent behavior are as misguided as the reasons the media thinks they do. The whole argument is that the games cause a desensitization to violence. Not that kids would take a literal parallel to the games. Shoot someone in a game and then go shoot someone for real. The argument is that, with significant exposure to violence in games, (I'm talking several hours daily for months at a time), kids are more prone to violent behavior. And again, not that they're gonna perform the same actions detailed in the games, but something smaller. I'm not buying any of this, because it assumes that kids can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality. The truth, I think, lies somewhere in the middle. It's not games that would do this, but other media. There isn't much of a fantasy/reality distinction when it's violence in the evening news. When there are daily repo

About Me

I've been coming to this site for years. I've watched a lot of media. I've posted a bunch. I followed the rules, and it wasn't worth it. I'm still waiting on the prize I claimed. Six to eight weeks for delivery. Christmas 2008 was nine weeks. It's now February. I'm on week 15, and still no prize. I only care enough to talk about it here. I'm not gonna call and complain, or write a blog about it, or go in the forums and throw a tantrum. I always wondered if the erep prizes were real. Now I know.

Update: It's now been one year since I claimed an erep prize. Nine months or so from when the new management of the site announced that they were going to honor the erep prize system. They just needed a little time to sort out the records.
