      • I've heard of people getting jumped or raped a lot less times than I heard about drunk drivers mowing down innocent pedestrians and causing unneeded property damage. My point is people make mistakes.. does he deserve to be dead for his? no. but shit happens, and the safest course of action was walk to a buddy's house and don't point gun shaped objects at cops. he obviously took a different approach and a cop made the mistake of thinking the object was an actual gun, so the guy is now dead. If you live in a dangerous place where walking home is not very safe you should consider that before you drink your first beverage and arrange for either a taxi or a sober driver, saying you should be drunk driving cause one guy died from something that had absolutely nothing to do with walking home is stupid

      • I don't see the logical connection you make that makes the sentence "risk of walkin home and gettin shot" equivalent to "walking to a friend's house where the person's neighbors don't know you; sitting around on an apartment building staircase in semi-plain view holding something that from a distance appears to be a revolver and then when cops show up (who more likely than not already have their guns drawn because they are responding to a 911 call about someone waving a gun around) you decide to point the object at one of them to find out what happens, which in this case was death"... please help me understand where i'm missing the connection that you see so plainly
