      • American's foreign policy in the Middle East was poor in the 70s and 80s. But all terrorists have basically said the same thing: we don't care what your government does, we simply hate you as infidels. Islam is tainted with all kinds of rhetoric convincing followers to kill infidels. Groups like al-Queda may get more support from the common Muslim in the Middle East when our foreign policy is bad, but ultimately their group isn't trying to change our foreign policy. They are simply looking to kill Westerners. Otherwise, why the rioting in France? Why even attack Spain, who barely contributed anything to the war effort?

      • I was trying to make a point that no matter what happens with McCain, his detractors will find a way to make him look bad. Pull most people off the street and they could tell you a million things wrong with this country because they are saturated with anti-American garbage in the media and in schools. No, I don't think any person as president could make the country perfect.
