I don't see it as trying to inspire terror so much as going 'fuck it, just have fun because it's not how you think it is'. it's sort of like penn and teller's bullshit that way. There is no consistent body behind cracked, despite similar themes at times. Some of the articles are just trying to be funny but as I said fuck off if you don't like it.

      • wow that was barely coherent. I used to do this thing when I was falling asleep where my mind would just start telling stories. I didn't have any conscious effort in this and I don't know where they came from. One of my favorites that I can recall, and I rarely recall any, was about a man who hunted god in his dreams but would remember none of it when he woke up

If I felt sorry for him or his parents it would mean I choose him and his parents over the parents of the child who will now survive with the offset resources or the organisms that will be nourished by his body, and those that will in turn be given life by them
